How to OCR in Intella Investigator/Connect

    How do I OCR with Intella Investigator or Intella Connect?


    OCR—Optical Character Recognition


    • Tag the items you want to OCR - how to perform tagging

    • Click on the wheel on the right side of your Intella Investigator/Connect 

    • It will open your Preferences window

    • Go to Background Tasks

    • Click on Add New

    • Select Abby FineReaded (embedded)

    • Select the tag used in the second step

    • Change the settings to your liking

    • Click Add

    • Your result should look like this

    • MS Office document (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, both old and new)

    • OpenDocument document (Text, Spreadsheet, Presentation)

    • XPS

    • BMP

    • DjVu

    • GIF

    • HEIC/HEIF

    • JPEG-2000 (JP2)

    • PCX / DCX (DCX has not been tested)
