Unable to access HASP SRM Run-time Environment (H0033)

Problem
When trying to start your application, you get an error dialog showing either "Unable to access HASP SRM Run-time Environment (H0033)" or "No matching feature found (h0050)".

The error above means that the Sentinel LDK system service is either not started or cannot be reached. A running Sentinel LDK system service is required to run Intella.

In earlier versions this service was called the HASP system service.

Possible causes
  • Antivirus software can block the Sentinel LDK system service from starting at the end of installation.
  • EnCase or Smart were running during installation.

Check that the Sentinel LDK License Manager service is started
  1. Click on the Windows search icon.
  2. Type in Services to search for the Windows Services control panel.
  3. In the Services panel locate "Sentinel LDK License Manager". Make sure that its status is "Running" or "Started". Since you got the H0033 or H0050 error, the Sentinel LDK License Manager service is probably not running already.

How to manually start the Sentinel LDK License Manager service
  1. If the Sentinel LDK License Manager service is not running, try to start it by selecting it in the list and clicking the Start link on the left:

  2. Check that the service is running now.
  3. Now you should be able to start your Vound application.
Note: Sometimes another application, program or service may stop the license manager. That can happen at a later time so you should check the status of the service if you continue to have this issue. In this case you will need to investigate what program is stopping the service or preventing it from running.

What to do when no Sentinel LDK License Manager is listed
When you do not find a Sentinel LDK License Manager listed in the system services control panel, please take the following steps:
  1. Open a command prompt.
  2. Change the current directory (cd) to C:\Program Files\Vound\Intella [current version]\bin
  3. In the bin directory, please run the following command from the command prompt: haspdinst.exe -i –kp
  4. After a while you should see a message stating that the operating completed successfully:

  5. Ensure that the Sentinel LDK License Manager service is listed as "Running" in the Windows system service control panel.
  6. Now you should be able to start your Vound application.

Antivirus and firewall software
On rare occasions antivirus and firewall software may prevent Intella from installing or running. Please ensure that Intella is a trusted application in your antivirus and firewall software.

To check if the firewall software is preventing Intella to start - after you have taken the steps described above - please browse to http://localhost:1947. You should see the Admin Control Center. This is the dongle driver's browser-based configuration front end. If you do not see the Admin Control Center, antivirus and firewall software may be the cause.
