Collecting the license fingerprint/key

You may have been asked to generate a license fingerprint or key from a specific computer for licensing purposes. This is typically for setting up a trial license on a specific computer. If you have been asked to provide this information, you can use the following steps to extract this information in a C2V file.

Before we get started:

  • Make sure the latest version of Intella or Connect is installed on your computer.
  • Make sure no Vound dongles are connected to the computer.
  1. Start the "haspupdate.exe" program. You can find "haspupdate.exe" in the bin folder where Intella or Connect are installed. The default installation folder is: C:\Program Files\Vound\Intella[version number]\bin
  2. Do the following once the HASP program has started:
    i) First, choose the "Collect Status Information" tab at the top.
ii) Then, pick the ‘Install of new protection key’ option at the bottom.
iii) Finally, click the ‘Collect Information’ button.

  3. You will be asked to save a C2V file to your computer. Once done, send the C2V file to the Vound representative who requested it.
