Print and export PDF reports with characters of another language

By default, Intella supports printing and PDF generation for the basic Latin character set only. To print or export PDF reports containing characters from other languages, you must install a Unicode font that supports your language.

Steps

  1. Download a Unicode TrueType (.ttf) or OpenType (.otf) font that supports your language.

  2. Install the font in Windows using one of the following methods:

    • Double-click the .ttf or .otf file and select Install

    • Right-click the .ttf or .otf file and select Install

    • Manually move or copy the font file into:

  3. C:\Windows\Fonts
  4. Copy one font file directly into the font folder of your Intella installation:

  5. C:\Program Files\Vound\Intella [VERSION]\font
  6. Restart Intella.

Important

  • The font file must be placed directly in the font folder.

  • Do not place the font inside a subfolder. When exporting to PDF, Intella ignores font files located in subfolders.

  • Only one .ttf or .otf file should exist in the root of the font folder. If multiple font files are present, Intella may select one unpredictably.

Note: Intella may include additional font files in subfolders (such as Comfortaa or Open_Sans) as part of the application installation. These fonts are used for Reporting purposes, and are ignored for PDF export.

Recommendations for font selection

  • For languages other than Chinese, Japanese, or Korean, you may use a universal Unicode font that supports a wide range of character sets. The GNU FreeFont collection is available at:
    http://www.gnu.org/software/freefont/

  • For Chinese, Japanese, or Korean languages, we recommend using a language-specific font. A large list of fonts for different languages and writing systems is available at:
    http://www.wazu.jp/

  • If the required font is already installed on your Windows system, you can copy it from:

C:\Windows\Fonts

to the Intella font folder.
