Does Intella search in attachments?

Question
Does Intella index attachments? Am I able to search for text in attachments?

Answer
Yes, Intella indexes both the email and the attachments. It indexes the attached documents, metadata of the attached documents, images found in the attached documents, files in a ZIP file attached to an email, etc. Searching for text means that Intella will search both the email and its attachments for the text.

Note: In some datasets there may be attachments that do not contain text, such as scanned PDF files. Also it may happen that encrypted items have not been decrypted during the indexing phase. For these files, you will need to conduct further processing (decryption, OCR, repairing, etc.) to make these documents searchable.
