Can Intella's Redaction process be automated?

PDF redaction in Intella can be partially automated, but it is not intended to be a completely hands-off process. Quality assurance checks from human reviewers is strongly recommended to verify that the redactions were applied correctly and to all intended items. This is similar to other automated processing workflows, where the results should be reviewed to confirm that the automated process produced the expected outcome.

You can start by running keyword searches for the information that needs to be redacted. Optionally, you can run the "Redaction PDF pre-generation" task on the relevant items to improve loading times when working in the Redaction tab.

Then, manually review the items and determine whether the keyword search hits represent information that should be redacted in the context of each item. Items that require redaction can be manually marked for automatic redaction by adding them to the "Redaction Queue".

Once you have reviewed and queued the items you want to redact, you can run the Redaction Queue to process all queued items and apply the redactions.
