What is Intella Node?

Intella Connect and Intella Investigator can both utilize the Intella Node platform. Node works alongside Investigator and Connect to handle processing tasks, such as indexing, while allowing you to continue working on your cases. Node is a separate licensed add-on and requires an Intella Connect or Investigator server to function, as it receives instructions from these platforms.

With this, users are able to set up an independent machine to handle all indexing and processing tasks.

It is possible to run Node from the same machine as Connect or Investigator, but it is recommended to have Nodes on their own separate machines and to size them according to our recommended specs below.

Information on the recommended specifications for those systems can be found here: Selecting a computer to host your Vound software

Cases are created on the Connect or Investigator server then instructions are sent to the Node for processing

Benefits of Intella Node:

  • Indexing of multiple cases simultaneously is possible with multiple Nodes.
*Each node needs to be on its own machine.

  • Node handles background tasks and indexing, allowing you to continue reviewing other cases without interruption.
