What Intella Viewer Cannot Do
Intella Viewer is designed specifically for case review and analysis and lacks some capabilities of Intella’s desktop and web-based products. Creating new cases or adding data to existing cases is not possible. Intella Viewer can only be used to review and analyze cases created in Intella 10, 100, 250, Pro, Intella Investigator, or Intella Connect. It cannot generate new cases or ingest additional data into a case.
Reviewing Cases with Intella Viewer
Using Intella Viewer:
There are three main scenarios for using Intella Viewer:-
Scenario 1: Collaborative review of a local case.
If a case exists on your local network drive, either Intella or Intella Viewer can access it at a time. The case will be locked when in use. For example, if a reviewer has a case open in Intella Pro, Intella Viewer cannot be used to open that same case until the first reviewer closes the case. -
Scenario 2: Reviewing an offline case copy.
If a case has been copied to other machines, Intella Viewer can open, and you can search the case on those machines. The case cannot be accessed simultaneously from multiple locations. Since the folders are unique, you do not have the problem of more applications trying to open the same case. -
Scenario 3: Connecting to a shared case.
Intella Viewer can connect to cases shared through Intella Connect and Investigator enabling multi-user access and simultaneous analysis using either the web interface or Intella Viewer. A network connection is required.
