With the release of Intella 3.0, a new Applications facet has been introduced to enhance mobile data analysis. This facet displays all mobile applications identified from mobile device reports included in the case. Applications are organized by category and further broken down by the media types of their associated items (such as messages, images, or web browsing, and more), allowing for more targeted analysis.
You can quickly explore application-specific data by selecting an application or a specific media type within it, then clicking Search to return all related items in the results view. This makes it easy to isolate activity from a particular app or focus on a specific type of data within that app.
You can right click inside the list of applications to better manage how the data is displayed. Use the Organize menu to sort the list by either item count (to see the most active applications first) or value (alphabetical order).
If you need to export this information, you can right-click anywhere within the facet and select Export values to generate a CSV file containing the application names and their corresponding item counts.
The Applications facet provides a streamlined way to analyze mobile data by organizing applications and their associated content in a clear, structured view. By allowing quick access to app-specific items and flexible sorting and export options, this feature helps improve efficiency and focus during investigations involving mobile device data.
