Creating a service account in Windows

Limitations of Windows Home Editions

The default version of Windows Home, both in Windows 10 and 11, does not offer the option to edit the Local Security Policy. Moreover, creating service accounts is not possible in the Windows 11 Home edition. This function is limited to Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, and Education versions, which serve the purpose of running system services and allowing these services to access network resources without requiring a user's credentials. To leverage this feature, Windows 11 Home users may consider upgrading their Windows edition
Although not originally designed for it, Intella Investigator can still operate on Windows Home. However, there are a couple of prerequisites to consider. First, a user needs to log in to the system to initiate the service. Second, the service requires manual start/stop or a startup script to automate this process.
