Extracting a C2V file from your license system
If you have a software license (SL) you will need to update this license when a new major version of our products are released. Anytime one of the first two digits change in a new release, a new license is required to run that version. E.g. if you upgrade from version 2.5.1.1 to 2.6.1, then the second digit has changed, and you will need the 2.6.x license to run that version. For SL licenses we need to make this license manually at our end, and we need a new c2v file from the system which holds your license. The steps below show how to extract a c2v file which you can send to support.
- Extract a c2v file by logging onto the system that holds your license. In most cases this is a dedicated licensing system, but it could also be another system such as your Connect system.
- Start 'haspupdate.exe'. You will find haspupdate.exe in the bin directory in the installation directory of Intella.
Note: The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\Vound\[Product]\ however, your folder structure may be different depending on how your application was installed.
- Click the 'Collect Status Information' tab at the top. Then click the 'Collect information' button at the bottom.
- A dialog will be shown where you will be asked to 'Save key status as'. Save the file with your company name.
- Once done, send this c2v file to support in a ticket and they will be able to create the new license for you.
